Julia McRae

Julia McRae is an Christian American singer-songwriter from Aberdeen, North Carolina.

Growing up, Julia always had a passion for music, especially singing. Exposed to a wide variety of musical influences thanks to her r&b connoisseur mother, jazz loving uncle, appreciator of classical music grandmother, and traditional worship background, Julia often created unique melodies and lyrics in her head and looked for ways to make her music come to life. This growing love would lead to a childhood YouTube channel (now defunct) and the pursuit of a formal music education at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC.

Following her college years, Julia listened to The Holy Spirit’s leading and relocated to the mountains of Western North Carolina to figure out her place in life and surround herself with those she loved dearly. Since then, Julia has actively continued in her music, leading worship at many churches in her area, writing her own songs, and reconnecting with old friends to perform and record. Alongside her sister, Quashona Renee Antoine, she also began the group S {II} STER, a Contemporary Christian duo.

As Julia allows The Lord to lead her in this season of life, an even deeper passion has been kindled for music, knowing that it is no longer just about doing something she loves, but also about bringing God’s living hope to the lost and to the found.
