Peggy Ratusz

Austin, Texas transplant, Peggy Ratusz  has been pulling from the cream of the Asheville music crop since moving here in 2002.  

This “ruby throated” chanteuse  was a finalist in the International Blues Challenge 2008, 2010 and 2016. A first-place winner in the Mountain Xpress’s ‘Best of’ Poll for 10 years in the Blues category, she won in three categories in the 2016 (Best Vocalist, Best in Blues and Artist Who Gives Back), & is a member of the Asheville Music Hall of Fame.  

With a mix of configurations, duo to sextet, she's opened for Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Taj Mahal, Geoff Atchison, the Beach Boys & Daniel Nicole Schneblen.  

Her seemless versatility in performing original, traditional, acoustic Blues, Vintage Jazz, Classic Soul & Country, has been sought out by Performing Arts Theaters, music halls, restaurants, clubs & private showcases all up & down the Eastern seaboard & the Midwest.  

An accomplished, congenial & selfless artist whose poignant & raw vocal interpretations have garnered 1000's of fans, Peggy pays & plays it forward with grace & humor, sharing, interacting & giving audiences just what they need.
