K. Scott Eggert has been a professional musician for over 30 years, and has worked a diverse range of musical genres and jobs. As a singer/pianist, he has performed nationally and internationally as both solo artist and ensemble member, most recently with The Fine Colombians (A Steely Dan Tribute Band) of Knoxville, TN and Gotcha Groove (60s-80s R&B) of Marion, NC. Eggert also recently received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Composition from The University of Georgia, and has taught music theory and composition at UGA, Rutgers University (Camden), Warren Wilson College, and Brevard College. Besides being a gifted performer he is also an accomplished composer for chamber ensemble, chorus, film, and theatre. He was the Music Director and Resident Composer for Circle of Stones Ritual Theatre Ensemble of Allentown, PA from 2004-2011. Most recently his piece *Screenshot *was performed by the American Modern Ensemble as part of the inaugural Mostly Modern Festival at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY. He has worked as an arranger, music director, copyist, recording artist, performer, composer, teacher, and conductor. He has experience with an unusually wide range of styles, including rock, jazz, R&B, blues, funk, Americana, Native American, traditional West African, New Age, gospel, classical, experimental electronic, and microtonal.
