Touring audio engineer and lifelong North Carolinian, working primarily as a monitor engineer these days, but also happy to mix FOH or be a production manager.
Recent tours include Lord Huron, TV on the Radio, Japanese Breakfast, Band of Horses, St. Vincent, Black Pumas, Cage The Elephant, The Head and The Heart, Bruce Hornsby, Josh Ritter, and Fred Armisen.
I’ve been touring full-time for over 15 years and hold a clean passport. My experience includes expert-level RF coordination and wireless systems, extensive knowledge of both digital and analog mixing consoles, strong production management skills, and familiarity with all aspects of backline and show logistics. I work well with artists, crews, vendors, stagehands, truck and bus drivers... always ready to travel.
I also play drums, bass, and a little guitar, none particularly well though
When not on tour, I can be found recharging my batteries at home near Biltmore Village. Also there is where I operate a small mixing studio used for tour pre-production, programming, and mixing live multitrack recordings for various uses. I only occasionally work locally, but have been delighted to start stage managing and mixing monitors for Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam, which has become one of my favorite shows to be part of each year.
I graduated from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Audio Recording. Prior to that, I attended UNC Asheville’s Music Technology program. After several years using Charlotte as a home base while touring full-time, I returned to Asheville in 2020 and am happy to call it home again.
