Welcome To Mars is the creation of Michael Selverne, a producer, musician and executive with 35 years experience in the music industry.  Mars is dedicated to producing and developing local Asheville area artists.

After relocating to Asheville from New York in 2005, Selverne and his company, Welcome to Mars, have produced a number of critically acclaimed records for local artists, including the Asheville Symphony Sessions Records (featuring the Asheville Symphony Orchestra). Selverne is also the founding partner of Asheville Commercial Music Enterprise (ACME) and a co-founder of Asheville Music Professionals (AMP). 

Selverne, a frequent lecturer and author on music production and publishing, is the recipient of numerous distinctions and awards and over sixty gold and platinum records. 

Among the many gold and platinum selling artists with whom Selverne has worked during his career are the Steep Canyon Rangers, The Asheville Symphony, John Scofield, Donald Fagen (Steely Dan), The Fugees, Eric Sermon, Phil Ramone (Producer), Bunny Wailer (Bob Marley and the Wailers), Wyclef Jean, Michael Bearden (Music Director/Producer for Michael Jackson, Neil Young, Madonna, Lady Gaga), India.Arie, Motley Crue, Hootie and the Blowfish, Guns and Roses, Live, Wu-Tang Clan, Peter Tosh and The Brecker Brothers.
